Quick question/ help regarding addressing envelopes....
Sorry to crash but was hoping to gain some insight from you
I was wondering if there is a correct (proper) way to address invitations, cards etc to my CF family and friends ..
Mr. & Mrs. Smith or The Smith Family or The Smiths
Everytime I address envelopes I always wonder if I am doing it "right" ...
Do you have a preference? Not notice, not care ?
Thanks !

Mr & Mrs is correct.
I am never sure what to do when the wife kept her maiden name. I don't know if there's an order to it but I usually go with ladies first.

I prefer to be addressed this way (him or I first doesn't matter!)
Mr. Roy Smith and Ms. Diane Jones

I kept my maiden name but don't really care if someone sends an invitation to me with my married name.
I personally am not a fan of Mr. & Mrs. even though I know it is the "correct, formal" way to address an envelope. I prefer:
Jane & John Doe or
Jane Smith & John Doe
Mr & Mrs John Doe gets my inner feminist going for some reason.

Re: Quick question/ help regarding addressing envelopes....
I like getting mail as Jen & John Smith, or John & Jen Smith.
I do NOT like Mr. & Mrs. John Smith (seems old fashioned/ 1950s, DH's grandmother always send us stuff addressed like that).
I got something the other day from DH's cousin addressed "The Smith Family"-- thought it was a little weird since there are only 2 of us-- me & DH!
***[Our last name isn't Smith by the way, just using that name as an example lol]
