to the Twin Mommies.......
I have a question about getting the twins on the same feeding schedule.
When one is awake and eating...do you wake the other up to feed them so they are on the same schedule or do you let them sleep. I keep reading both......my guess would be to wake the sleeping one up?

Re: to the Twin Mommies.......
Mine were in the NICU and there they do a 3 hour feeding schedule, so we stuck with that. If one was still sleeping we woke the second to eat. They have been on the same schedule ever since. We finally stopped waking one in the middle of the night when it was obvious he did not need to get up and didn't want to even eat.

A few twin moms that I have met have told me to wake the other one to get them on the same schedule.

Re: to the Twin Mommies.......
My daughters woke eachother up so it was never a problem. I fed them at the same time whenver possoble. Propping is key. (unless of course hubby was home)

Re: to the Twin Mommies.......
My mom did this with us. Having us on the same schedule was the only way she got some sleep.

Re: to the Twin Mommies.......
My twin girls are 5 months and I let the other one sleep..because now they are both sleeping through the night. I put them to bed at 7 and they sleep until 6:30-7 in the morning. I used to wake up whichever one was sleeping in the night but then i decided to let her sleep and soon the other one started sleeping longer. Also if it's not in the middle of the night it gives you a chance to bond with the twin that is awake.

Re: to the Twin Mommies.......
I tried to feed them at the same time - now they are on pretty much the same schedule. Like Irishtracy said - Propping is definetly key!
