Wines & Canines - dog friendly 5k at Martha Clara

I can't go but wanted to share for any of you established or up-and-coming runners who might like this. It's sponsored by Kent Animal Shelter, and allows leashed dogs at the winery. Here's the description:
On Sunday, September 25, 2011, Kent Animal
Shelter will hold its major annual fundraiser at
Martha Clara Vineyards! Runners and walkers
will enjoy the vineyard's 200 scenic acres
during peak harvest season on the North Fork,
while doing good for homeless animals in
need. Stay after the race for a Chinese auction, a raffle, an agility demonstration, and vendors. Food and wine will be available for sale.
People are encouraged to bring along their
dogs on leashes.

DH told me about this yesterday! I don't know if we'll make it but we might!
