Still not over it

I've mostly been on the TTC board since my m/c in March and the Infertility board as well. My due date would be coming up in November, and aside from nosey family members and such constantly asking me when I plan on having anothe,r I thought I was handling things pretty well. Last night, while watching a movie, a woman was going into labor and I lost it and sobbed hysterically for awhile...my DH and DS were fast asleep so thankfully missed my episode...I really hoped to preganant again before my due date so that maybe it would soften the blow...certainly feeling a little lost these daysChat Icon

I'm so sorry. I don't think we ever really get over the pain. Some days are good some days are bad. Wanted to give you some hugs Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

I am so sorryChat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon it's so hard and you think you have a handle on it and then out of nowhere it hits you like a ton of bricks.

Its okay to cry, I know I do and it seems to clear me out for a few more days and I feel stronger...for awhile.

Re: Still not over it

It's hard --- every day gets better (for me) but certain things really set me off and I start crying or getting teary eyed.

It's been two and a half months for me and as I think about/prepare for trying again I have been having a harder time dealing with it again. I am also surrounded by pregnant women and babies in all areas of my life - some who did not plan to be pregnant and are vocal about that as well - and it has been eating me up inside.

I don't think we ever get over it. We just get better at dealing with it.

Re: Still not over it

i had my miscarriage in march as well.

i am preg right now so god willing if all goes well i will be pg at the due date, so i know what you mean about softening the blow. if not..well i honestly think i will be posting from a mental ward.

but being that both our mcs were in march... honestly i still get wierd or cry when i least expect it. i dont know if we get over it...but the waves spread out a bit instead of crashing into us nonstop.. i hope you feel better

Re: Still not over it

I can completely identify with making it a goal of being pregnant by your due date Chat Icon

I lost my baby at 17wk3d and all I wanted was to be pregnant again by my due date. My due date came and went.. and I had a chemical that cycle. Then I said I wanted to be pregnant by the date I tested positive with him. Two days before that date, I was having a d&c for my triplets. Then I said I wanted to be pregnant by anniversary of when I lost him. I wasn't pregnant by then either.

At this point, I'm so over this little milestones.... I just wanna be pregnant and STAY pregnant, whenever that will be!! At this point I'll be approaching the due date of my triplets and the due date of my first baby for a SECOND time.. and though it would be nice to be pregnant by then, nothing will surprise me either way.
