How long did it take...

for your body to start miscarrying naturally? I thought my dr. wanted me to stay on my meds (PIO/suppositories) to make sure I didn't start bleeding before I could have a d&c, but then he called tonight to check up on me and told me to stop all meds.
I have no idea when I will be able to get an appointment for a d&c... and my abdomen area is already having spasms/contractions(?) and I'm cramping and in pain. TIA.

I had these very same concerns. We found out there were no heartbeats on a Wednesday and my d&c was scheduled for two days later on Friday. I was really scared that I was going to start to miscarry naturally before going to the hospital . Fortunately, that didn't happen.

I may have even emailed Dr.B at the time about being nervous about that...... If you haven't yet, you should because he will ease your mind.

I can't believe I'm even writing this to you right now... it's still so shocking to me that this happened. You WILL get through this I am here if you need ANYTHING!!

First I want to say how terribly sorry I am...

When I thought I was about 11 weeks, I had gone to the ER because I was cramping and spotting. That was on a Wednesday. They only saw a sac, nothing else. I started miscarrying naturally that Friday.

i didn't mc naturally. the first time i had a d&c the same week. the second time i was bout 7 weeks and was given cytotec. i started miscarrying exactly 4 hrs after i took the medication.

In my situation baby stopped growing at 8w but I was "suppose" to be 10w. My body did not naturally miscarry. No symptoms, I still felt pregnant even after my D&C. My sore breats finally feel back to normal a week later (after D&C).

I found out the baby was not growing at 6 weeks. I just started to mc at almost 8 weeks. It's been a long two weeks. I wonder if you can be prepared to save tissue if you start earlier. I also had very bad cramps (today) before I passed a lot of tissue. I would voice your concern to the docotor if you are cramping. Once again I am so sorry you are going through this

i m/c naturally when i was just about 7 weeks PG. i had bloodwork done that showed a very low HSG and started bleeding w/in 48 hrs of that.

Yes, those are actually contractions. When I miscarried naturally for the 2nd time, the contractions came every ten minutes with heavy bleeding/clotting.

Mine were very different from each other. Take some tylenol if you're having physical discomfort.

my natural m/c was a surprise to me... but thinking back to when i had my sono... i was measuring over a week late... and i cant imagine the heart beat for much longer after that... technically according to the sono i would have only been 7 weeks but by LMP which is VERY reliable for me i was 9 weeks.. i ended up needing a d&c anyway because it was an incomplete m/c...

jmo, but i would never opt for a natural m/c ... i would always take the d&c

I never bled for my first or third m/c but did for my second at 11 1/2 weeks. I had a D&C 2 or 3 days later and they were able to do the genetics even though I had been bleeding. However, I didn't have any pain/cramping when I was bleeding.

I had a D&C the day after I found out that I had a missed miscarriage, so I did not experience any bleeding or cramping in advance - but I did have that fear for the 24 hours or so between my appointment and arriving at the hospital that it would happen. It's awful.
