My poor girl. They put her on anti-inflammatory mess to help with her mobility, and I think she felt better and had a false sense of security. She took the stairs to fast and ended up limping and hobbling yesterday. I brought her in and she tore her ACL. Because she is 13years old, the vet isn't sure that surgery is her best option since the recovery can be so tough. So for now she is on anti-inflammatory and pain killers. I've also been looking into possibly getting a stifle brace to help support the leg, and hopefully prevent further injury or injury to her other leg. Has anyone ever used a brace with their dog? I'm worried she will hate it and not use it, and I don't want to throw away $500. But if it will help at all, I'm more then willing to spend the money.
