ordering wedding pictures
I’m looking to order some 8X10 prints of our wedding pictures; some to put up in our home; others to frame nicely and give to our parents. I was trying to avoid the cost to print through the photographer-any get these pictures printed on their own? I really want them to be good quality-not sure if Snapfish/shutterfly will give me that finish I want? Thinking to myself now I might be better off going through my photographer! LOL! What did everyone else do?

Re: ordering wedding pictures
Our photographer gave us the digital files for all photos so I just put the ones I liked on a USB key/flash drive and took them to the local CVS/Walgreens and printed them out in different sizes. I didnt think the quality was that different, honestly - as long as the pics aren't grainy looking, I'm happy.

Re: ordering wedding pictures
thanks! I've printed from cvs/online sites before but only for 4X6 size. Was nervous how an 8X10 would come out.
Did you order glossy or matte? I was thinking matte would look more formal?

matte, I only did glossy for the 4x6s and maybe some 5x7s.

Re: ordering wedding pictures
I would definitely order them in matte. It gives the photo a more professional look. I think for an 8X10, and online photo site should be fine. The amount that wedding photographers charge is completely ridiculous.
