Stray Cat Problem

There are a bunch of stray cats that like to use the garden in front of our house as their own personal bathroom. It's getting to the point where we can't open the windows in front of the house because of the poop smell.

Is there anything we can do to stop them from doing what they are doing?

We have a similar problem and these cats were using the ground right by our front door as a litter box.

We got some hot sauce and diluted it approximately 1/4 hot sauce, the rest water.

Put it in an empty spray bottle and then sprayed it pretty liberally all over the area. We resprayed for a week and haven't had a problem since.

when the cats use the area, the diluted hot sauce solution gets on their paws and when they lick their paws, it's not a nice taste (but it's diluted so it's not hurting the cat).
