we tried and it was a nightmare. After a couple seasons we quit and started to do things like karate or swimming. Team sports were no good for my son.

This is what I'm afraid of - I guess we might have to wait another year or so and see if that helps. She did fine with gymnastics.

I have a sensory kid and tried karate when he was 3. Total disaster. He does really well with swimming and gymnastics and this past season played soccer and was MUCH better than last year, though still not great.

Our OT said things like karate, swimming & Gymnastics are great for him as its lots of movement and heavy work. He also just learned to ride a two wheeler which definitely helps center him and we got a trampoline which really seems to help.

However, when he was younger everything we tried was awful. I don't know if you remember but I"m pretty sure we were in a Music class together in Garden City when you were pregnant with your second. I had the two crazy kids and my son was constantly trying to escape the room, run in circles etc. Ahhh, so glad to be past that phase!!
