crochet or knitting...which is easier to pick up?
i want to start trying one of these this winter, plan on watching youtube videos or maybe taking a quick class.

I've done both, and I prefer knitting. I taught myself with the Knitting for Dummies book.
I think crocheting is easier, but knitting is more satisfying. For me at least.

I don't know how to knit, but I know how to crochet. I found it very easy to learn and fun to do. But, I do find that the knitting patterns out there are better than the crochet patterns I usually see.

I don't know how to crochet but can knit up a storm! Knitting ony has two stitches - knit and purl so my vote would be knitting is probably easier.

crocheting is easier to learn, but knitting is easier once you know how to do it, I can speed knit I prefer it, if I have the time
