5 yr olds-clothes size
DD's bday is coming up. She is currently fitting in a 5 and it fits good but I am thinking that maybe I should be telling everyone1 size up. Is that right for a 5 yr old? (size 6). Also approximately how much does your 5 yr old weigh? I noticed that she gained a few pounds and I think the dr may say something as he did last yr. She was 40" and 40 pounds last annual. This yr she is about 42" and about 46 pounds.

Yes my DD is 5.5 and even wearing some size 7 tops for length. 6 is right on track.

You can't go wrong with asking for 6 because even if they don't fit now, she'll use them in the future.
As for my oldest DD, she just turned 6 and typically runs to the 25th percentile. Right now she's 43lbs and 44 in and size 6 is frequently large on her.

DD is a skinny size 5 right now, but I would ask for a size up unless I was going to use the stuff right away.
She weighs 38 pounds at a little over 5.5 (she turns 6 the end of Feb).

I would go with a size 6 for sure! So many clothes shrink. People always get DD Children's Place clothes and I feel like they shrink the worst, so I always buy a size up with them!
As far as height/weight I can't remember what DD was when she was 5. She is now newly 6 (Oct 6th) and is 48 inches and 52 lbs!

Forgot to add DD will be 6 in March and is about 49 inches and 49lbs.

I would say to ask for the higher size. I always find once spring comes none of Erin's pants fit anymore, either they are too short or too tight.. so for now you can cuff them or something until they fit her better.
DD is 4 but wears a girls small, size 5. She is 43 lbs.
DS is 5 and also wears a small.

I like to size up to get more use out of the clothes. The idea of getting her current size for one season drives me crazy. As long as they're not swimming on her, go for it.
