8th grade hw
How much is normal? I feel like my step-son basically never has hw!
He goes to school in Carmel, NY. I worry he lies about HW. If I find out he didn't do something he'll say "I thought I did that" or simply "I forgot about that".
Ex: he said he didnt have ANY social studies HW this week because he went on a field trip? doesnt keep kosher to me...
but who knows, maybe things have changed since I was in 8th grade...

Does he know my son? I swear my son is in 10th grade and never has hw or he is done in 20 mins. We do have a website where we can see their hw and grades, does your school not have this. Alot of the teachers but the HW up there for the month. I also sometimes think its a guy thing, my BFF DD is in the same grade same school and she always has alot of HW.

I had an ***'t super who used to say 10 min. per grade...so an eighth grader should be doing 80 min a night.
Was the field trip one day? Was it random or for the end of a unit? It could be possible

I teach 8th graders and I give homework every night except Friday. The only exception would be the night before a quiz or test
