I have a Q about TTC after mc/d&c
I know a girl who just told me that she TTC not even 3 weeks after D&C and got pregnant, she said she charted every  so this way the OB could easily determine the approximate due date. But this confuses me , do you ovulate so soon after D&C ? I thought you had to at least wait for your first AF before you start TTC. My dr told me they tell patients to wait at least 6 weeks before TTC.
Not that I would even think about TTC just yet, I think I'll need a lot more than 3 weeks to be physically and emotionally ready , but I'm just curious.

the doctors vary on the time they tell you to wait. my doc told me i can start trying again after 2 periods.
if you think about your d&c as the start of your cycle, then *most* people will ovulate 2 weeks after it. so it is possible to get pregnant in the cycle immediately following it.

i ovulated about a week and a half after my D&C

Sorry to hijack, but I don't understand why it's so important to wait??? Is it putting our health (or the possible baby's) at risk by getting PG immediately? Not that it will happen with me because I have to do IVF and no RE would do it, just wondering in general.

Oh I don't really know, I don't think or feel like it's "important" , you do what you want and need . I know every doctor gives a different advice, some say you can TTC couple of weeks after D&C, some say wait 2-3 months and every woman is different.
For me personally I just don't think I will be emotionally ready for at least another month or two and possibly more. But that's just me.
