who to ask for a raise?
i work for a rather large company in NYC. I started in june of 2006 and received a 5% raise june 2007. I was due for a 2.5% raise the next year but the companyy put on a freeze on raises. last year the freeze was lifted and i still have yet to reveive a raise.
(i should also add that my workload has doubled)
So my question is since i have never been in the position to have to ask for a raise, who do i go to?
I have a supervisor (who i know has no pull and doesn't give a poop about us)
then there is the controller (who has only been with the company for 2 months
then there is the CFO
and then HR

I would talk to your supervisor first. I am not comfortable going over someone's head without giving them a chance to at least address a situation/question.
