Re: Anyone use Dr. Putterman? Gyn
My mom used her for an issue she had and at first I didn't get the warm fuzzies but after I got to talk to her more she handled mom with great care.
Was she the warmest doc I ever met, probably not but for once a year I don't need hand holdy stuff.
I'm also coming off of needing an IF doc back to regular gyn stuff. I was using a doc at Cornell and frankly if I don't need to go all the way uptown I don't want to.
Thanks for the input everyone.

Re: Anyone use Dr. Putterman? Gyn
My old gynos always had me go in twice a year, and she only wants me in once a year. My last appointment she was glued to her laptop typing up notes when she asked me questions, which I thought was a little strange.
There is also ALWAYS a ridiculously long wait for your appointment since she always runs late. Last time I went my wait was close to an hour.

wow. When I took my mom to see her twice she had no wait. Why would you go to a gyn twice a year? I have always gone once a year.
Maybe it was the timing..I took mom during the day hours not evening. Maybe that was the difference with the wait.
Thanks for your input.

Don't use her but know her. She is a wonderful doctor and person but if you plan to have children she no longer does deliveries.

Re: Anyone use Dr. Putterman? Gyn
I do - I go to her and Dr. Scavo - whoever I can get in with. The wait to actually make an appointment tends to be on the long side, but I never wait long in the actual office.
I think both of the doctors are very nice.
I've also used her in an emergency situation and she was great.

Thanks everyone. I don't plan on having a bio child-that ship has sailed.
I'm happy to hear both docs are good. I will make sure they are in my plan and make an appt.

Can you clairfy?
I waited MONTHS for an appointment with her practice SPECIFICALLY because they DON'T do OB. I will be VERY disappointed if what you're saying is true and if the way I learned about the change was through LIF and not a letter from the practice.
i believe the dr from the lij practice does the OB. not scavo or putterman.

Scavo and Putterman no longer do deliveries. They are strictly GYN. They do have a doctor they will refer you to Dr Gilbert.

Where are these doctors located? I'm actually looking for a GYN office, I don't want to deal with the OB part since I can no longer have children.

This is right. Dr. Gilbert is my OB. She has an office in Great Neck and is at Dr. Putterman's office two days a week. I see her at Dr. Putterman's office.
