LA Fitness in Levittown
Anyone join yet? Do you mind sharing how much you pay? Any pros /cons. I am trying to pick a gym and can not decide!

yep  LOVE it! I am paying $39 per month... its been empty! It is huge, full size basketball court, pool, spin room with elevations, TONS of cardio and weights (free and machines) area for stretching, room for classes, child care etc etc etc it goes on and on! LOVE it!
it is also nice that it is located at the end of the shopping center so there isnt as much congestion with parking

childcare is not included - i think they told me $60 per month  and ill pick up a copy of the class schedule tomorrow and get back to you!! (just got back - wish I had thought to get one!)

I went to LA Fitness to check it out and the gym is gorgeous. However the salesman told me prices change daily etc... He said daycare is an extra $10 per month. My concern with LA Fitness is that they bought Bally's out so soon enough all Bally's members will be going there as well. I know the gym is huge but it will eventually get as crowded as other gyms and the parking lot will stink especially if there is a movie going on. I decided to stick with my gym but I am very happy where I am even if it's a bit pricier than LA Fitness

I was told $10 per child a month /6 months to 13.
$200 down and $34 a month.
But he seemed so shady about it, and kept pressing me to sign and would not give me a sheet with the price on it, which made me think he changed the price often and I could haggle.
The class schedule is online now if anyone wants it, but he said that would be changing soon too.

200 down? for what? are you signing a contract? I paid $50 to sign up and a month to month contract for $39. I was told that it would go up to $49 for people who didnt do the preconstruction sign up...
I would NEVER put 200 down... is that a yearly charge?
odd that they give different people different numbers. I will ask tomorrow and see what they say.

That is exactly what happened to me they would not give me any info or paper saying a price and he told me $149 down and then $49 per month. IMO if they want to make it a higher end gym which is what I was told they were doing then they should get salesmen in there over the age of 20. The boy helping me was young and very pushy!!!
