What would you think of this

I had DC at the park today. This park is set up into a smaller kids area (toddler-4ish) and a big kids area (5+). My DC is 4, but we do go on both sides. But this occurred on the little kid side

There was a boy and a girl, we were assuming they were siblings, who were very rough and seemed to be about 6-7 years old, running and pushing the little kids and beating each other up.

A few different people split them up, but never for very long.

On one of the play structures I saw the boy hold the girl down and pinch her butt (and almost her privates, I thought it may have been her privates at one point, she was on her belly) over and over and HARD and it shocked me. A woman came over and separated them, but walked away while the girl was rubbing her butt.

This didn't stop them, they were beating each other up.

The whole episode shocked me. What would you have done?

From what you've said, it sounds like they were both participants in the activities. However, if I had gotten close enough to the girl I would have talked with her...asked her who she was there with and tell her if she was uncomfortable to tell an adult...but it sounds like they did nothing about the horseplay anyway. I *might* have told the boy that what he was doing was not right/nice. I also would have tried to keep my kids away from them and I would have left if I were uncomfortable and couldn't ignore it. I think that's the most I would have done. There's only so much one can intervene when the adults supervising them don't take an active role.

My kids aggravated each other all day & she can give it back as much as he can give out. If they were getting physical with others or being disruptive to others,....oh who am I kidding..I'd want to know either way. I'd make them sit next to me & watch others enjoy the equipment to torture him & then give them another shot.

Since it does sound like they were both participating, I would probably separate them & tell them to knock it off. If I felt one was bullying the other, I'd tell the one being bullied that it's not right how she is being treated & to tell her parents.
