Karate b-day party?

My son is now in karate. His birthday is coming up in January. His Dojo gives you a free birthday party.

What do you guys think about having/going to a karate birthday party? Good or bad idea? Do parents like or dislike it?

I just don't want to go ahead and have one and nobody shows up. DS would be devastated.

Thanks!

DS had one. All the kids seemed to really enjoy it.

That's good. Can you tell me what they do at a karate party?

They did some pad-kicking drills, pad-punching, climbing over an obstacle course, learning some basic karate moves, and played a group game at the end (I forget all the details off-hand, since it was several years ago)

DD had one for her 4th bday. Basically same stuff as above. They were great and the kids had fun. Provided everything for us except cake and drinks.
