Tacky?

I have a few $10 Target gcs that I got for free from buying certain items or with that FB coupon last week.

I was going to use one as a gift for a high school student that is assigned to DS at a playgroup he goes to 2x a week. She's taking a college level psychology class and getting credit, but she's super nice to DS and he loves going. And she always watches him like a hawk when they have food to make sure he's not eating anything he shouldn't (food allergies) which I really appreciate.

DH thinks it's a little tacky to give her, since it's one of those kinda flimsy red ones they give when you return something or get as a promo.

I don't really think it makes a difference to be honest. A gift card is a gift card, and I'm sure they would be appreciate regardless if it was a regular generic looking one.
