Beautiful Amelia
About a month ago my sister Irene adopted a kitten that imyself had posted about. They had found the cat outside freezing cold, were kind enough to take it home with them, and post it here on the board. My sister saw pictures of the cat and fell in love, and she sends me text messages almost every day telling me how beautiful, silly and funny this little kitten Amelia is.
Now, there were rough patches. She had some major fleas, scabs on her chin from the fleas, worms, and lots of litter box issues, which all became relevant within a day or two of having taken her in. But my sister has been patient, has taken her to the vet a few times already, and everything is resolved. Amelia is just wonderful.
Even my Mom, who thought that my sister was taking on a big responsibility, goes on and on about how much she loves this cat. She is so happy to have someone run to the front door and greet her when she comes home from work, and even when my sister is out, Amelia curls up on my Mom's lap to be pet.
I just wanted to share some pictures and a big of their story, and maybe it will inspire someone else to take a cat in need of love and care into their home.

Gorgeous kitty and beautiful child as well.
Love stories like this.  Too many people want to dump an animal when the going gets tough. That's life. Things get tough sometimes. We dont just throw things away or give up.

 We were just talking about her today at Christmas. I am so glad to hear she is doing so well. I am so grateful your sister took her in. It made giving her away bearable knowing she was going to a good home
