lost dog - update
My Charlie is missing!!!!
my husband put him in the backyard & I came home and cant find him.
He's in babylon village and is a large pitbull/boxer/hound mix. probably 80 lbs. I cant imagine someone would still him from my backyard, would they?!?!?
please fm if you see him.
Town shelter already closed, I called local vet, where else should I call ?
**** Posted an ad on craigslist, person that found him responded to me. Someone that works at the shelter responded to me confirming they have him & telling me what I need to do to claim him. 6 kind strangers emailed me to tell me that there was a post about a found dog in west babylon. LOVING craigslist right now!
Charlie had roamed 2 blocks to the playground where we walk him with the kids and met a man there.
Shelter reports he was goofy & happy when he came in. Probably not so happy when he figured out he was staying there overnight[

Check Craigslist. If you don't see a post that he was found, put up an ad that he is missing.
I returned 2 dogs to their homes by checking there.
Good Luck I hope he's back home soon.

I am not sure who else to call. Put up signs right away, put an ad on Craigslist, call local vets.
 he comes home soon!!!!!

Try calling the West Islip Animal Hospital... they take all found/stray dogs, any day, even when the shelters are closed.. DH and I brought two dogs there last xmas day (they hold them til the shelters are open)...631-587-0800

So glad he was returned safe and sound. This is my biggest fear—and that someone would snatch up my dog and not give him back! This is definitely a happy ending!

My husband picked him up this morning. I was told he bolted in the house & smells terrible. 
The animal shelter was actually closed today and I was told that he would have to stay there until Saturday. But thanks to a GREAT employee there, he met my husband this morning and let us get our dog home.
