Its been one of those weeks....

It started out with Em having a bad cold at Christmas; but I always notice a change in Emma's behavior when she is out of school for a while. Everything becomes a battle from bedtime, to going out, to eating.. It makes me realize how much she needs that structure! It's funny cause I told our family trainer I knew it would happen and it did. I just want to enjoy vacations and being home together and not have everything be an issue. Do you see a change in your kids when they are out of school?
Today was one of those "this sucks" days!!!

My son definitely needs the structure of school. He has been tough to put to sleep, eat, etc. I never thought I would wish a vacation away, but I am. You are not alone.

glad B didn't catch Ems cold. AJ has been a snooty mess as well.

As mean as it sounds, i usually set up at least 2 nights where Carmela can stay out at either my ILs or Aunts house, so AJ and I can do things and he can stay calm.

i also ship her off to drop off play dates for a few hours, this week the 3 of us went to a play date and its really what he needed.. to be out of the house and playing with his friends he doesn't see during the week.

ANthony tries to come home early from work, and or work from home.

Mention this to your therapists. We got speech and OT over the summer, since DS had regression over vacations.
