Comfortis?
Does/has anyone used comfortis, or anything similar?
My vet mentioned it to me, it repels fleas like advantix or frontline, I believe.
I'm trying to find a safer alternative than the liquid flea/tick medications because I have a 7 month old and I worry about all the chemicals. I also worry about giving my dog a pill--the safety of it and side effects. I feel like I'm caught between a rock and a hard place

Re: Comfortis?
Comfortis is safe. It's a once a month pill against fleas. It has the advantage over frontline and advantix as it is not a topical and therefore there is no concern regarding contact with your child. As an aside, these products are not dangerous either but will leave a greasy residue for a day or so.
Either way, it is not necessary to use flea prevention until we get to the spring. Right now you'd be wasting your money unless you have an indoor flea problem.
