"Mommy, you smell like alcohol!"
That's what my son said to me today after I downed a much needed whiskey and soda well into the second hour of his English writing homework. Hopefully, he will not be writing memoirs any time soon because based on today alone, my chapter would probably start like this: "Mother was usually well under the influence by around 4 in the afternoon..."  
Disclaimer: I do NOT have a drinking problem!

DC comment when DW and I have something to drink. I take it as a teaching moment. I remind them that DW and I never both drink when we are out of the house, so the person not drinking is the one driving, and we have a drink once in a while at home since we aren't driving anywhere.
