Bleeding will not go away....

When is it time to call the doctor?
Miscarriage was 4 weeks ago, bleeding is still like a like period. I am still having positive HPT's also. I just want this over with.
How long should bleeding last?

First, I am really sorry for your loss! I would definitely touch base with your dr.. I am not sure if that is normal to bleed for that long...I would definitely contact your OB to be sure

Everyone is different, so this could be totally normal.

I would check with your doctor - I have read online that if a little bit of the tissue is still there (more likely with a natural miscarriage than a D&C), then you may bleed for a long time, continue to test positive, etc. Sometimes your body for whatever reason won't release that tissue so they need to do another D&C to get it out. Sorry to be so graphic.

It could also just be that this is just how your body is healing afterwards. Your doctor should be able to do an ultrasound in office to check.

I bled for a solid 2 weeks and then almost another week of light spotting. I had a natural miscarriage at almost 10 weeks. I know I tested positive on a pregnancy test 4 weeks later - nowadays they are so sensitive, they pick up HCG I think at 5. Depending on how far along you were, your number may have to drop a lot, which takes time.

I didn't have a natural miscarriage, I took the cytotec (misopropal). The doctor said 4 weeks, so in a day or so I am going to call. I know last time they did an ultrasound there was a little tissue left, she hoped it would all come out naturally. I really don't want a D and C after all this, I was in the ER from the medicine, I bled so much that I fainted, and I lost a lot of blood. At this point I just want to move on. This is the worst, I just want this to end so I can get my period and try again.
