hey!

i am assuming this answer can vary but i am just curiousChat Icon

how long did it take for the dvt to go away

dha nd i have been trying to have a baby for a long time and we were starting a ivf cycle when i got the clot

my hemo said i needed to be on meds for at least 3 months until i could have another ultrasound to see if it has gone away

and he will nto clear us for ivf until it is gone

i have the scan at the end of the month

what are my odds it is goneChat Icon i need it to be gone so bad!Chat Icon

My PEs were gone at a CT scan I had at 5 months - but my Dr didn't let me off the blood thinners until 9 months.

ETA, not what you want to hear but for some people it never goes away. It just attaches to the wall of the vein and the body builds other pathways to bypass it if necessary. Not sure what the dr would do in that case.
