Wifi Connection issues with nook simple touch
I have Verizon fios with the actiontec router. I cannot connect my Nook to my WiFi. I've already swapped out the Nook for a new one, been to b&n, called customer tech support and nobody helps me.
I'm so frustrated I may just return it.
Anyone else having this problem with connecting to.their WiFi?
Does anyone know how to fix this problem. Its a simple device, I don't know why its so difficult to connect.

I am. Its really annoying. I was on the phone with B&N for an hour yesterday and now plan to go to B&N tomorrow. If that doesnt work I am going to call B&N on my cell and Verizon on my home number to see if I can get it resolved.

Do you have any kind of security set up on your router (you should). Is the nook configured with the right security access? (WEP, WPA, TKIP, IP inclusion lists, etc)
My routers are locked up like Fort Knox, but DW's Nook had no problem getting through as long as I configured it properly.

my brothers friend said the probis with verizons router.. he can call verizion and ask for a new router or just go buy a cheap on and hook it up as needed.

My sister (in NJ) has the same exact issue! She can connect to any wifi except FIOS in her house.

it must be a FIOS thing... i just got the simple touch for myself and had no problem hooking up to my wifi through TWC.

It must be a FIOS thing. I have no issues at home with iO and my router, but at a friends house I can't get online with my Nook and they have FIOS.

It can't be a FiOS thing. FiOS is just the transmission lines from the house to the Internet. It's not a different type of internet than any other provider. It's something to do with the router.
Honestly, it's GOOD if you can't connect to a friend's router with your Nook. That means they have some type of security set up. DW's Nook, and MIL's Nook work perfectly fine at my house, and I have FiOS for my Internet. BUT, only after I configured their Nook to work with my security settings.
