Just wanted to give a little update on my cat family.
Last summer, I rescued a stray mama cat and her kittens. 2 kittens went to good homes, the other 2, and the mama cat, came with us to our new house when we moved.
They have all made great strides! Everyone is happy and healthy! The kittens (now 6 months old) finally hang out with both DH and I. At first, it was nobody. Then it was just me. Dh started feeding them in the mornings so that they would know he's a caretaker as well, and it's worked. Last night they were hanging out with us on the couch while we were reading, and for a month or more now, they will come into the living room at night and hang around with us. They are still scared of our kids (I can't blame them!) but they seem really comfortable with both of us, and one even jumps on our bed every now and then.
mama is coming around as well. She is still closer to me. she comes out and hangs out when I'm by myself. she rubs on me and likes me to pet her. i think they will all love all of us eventually!

Awww how sweet! It's hard work but it's SO amazing when an animal comes around like that!
