SAHM looking for work
If you are, or have been a SAHM, and looked for a job do you mention in your cover letter that you are a SAHM? My resume shows that I ended my last position in 2011, so I'm not sure if I should mention in my cover letter what I am doing now. I know a lot of companies are turning down unemployed people so I don't want that to be a strike against me, but I also don't want the fact that I'm a mom to be a strike. Advice? Thanks!

Re: SAHM looking for work
I know it's illegal for employers to ask about family, however, in this case, I would probably just put it out there that you've taken time off to raise a family and now that your kids are in school (or something like that) you are ready to go back into the work force.
