Has anyone tried MB12?
Have been reading a lot about methylated vitamin b12 shots and will def. give it a try with DS. We have an appointment in May to a place that does this. Has anyone done it and had any success with it??? thanks!

Re: Has anyone tried MB12?
We did them for a quite a while. I can't honestly say that they didn't do anything for my son. At first it wasn't too bad and I was able to do the shot while he was sleeping. After a few months he started waking up so instead of disrupting his sleep I started to do them while awake. Then it became traumatizing for me, my son and my husband. We had to psychically hold him down and do the shot. Our DAN wanted us to do it every other day. I started to dread "shot" day. We stopped around December and have not seen any difference in him.
Sorry to put a damper on things just want you to know what you are getting yourself into.

Re: Has anyone tried MB12?
I think the biomedical aspect is huge. But you need to peel away layers like an onion. B-12 is something that doesn't work in isolation. There are advantages and disadvantages. For instance, you may see a huge burst in language but the child may become horribly overstimulated. There also could be a huge build up of candida from the B vitamins, which could cause anxiety.
Be careful about going "big" with anything biomedical. Make sure that candida, yeast and anything fungal are very low..
Make sure you see someone who is a real "investigator" and can uncover the individual needs of your child. If I met a doctor who wanted to start off with B12 injections right away without doing anything else prior or without even testing for issues with methylation or B deficiencies, I would really question them.

Totally agree.
