I did a little research about the Mets & Yankees and the back cover of the newspaper

I searched on newsday.com and looked at the back cover for July 1-August 1 and what I found is 11 Mets cover, 11 Yankees cover. 2 of the covers for the Mets was something bad, 2 of the covers for the Yankees was something bad. the remaining days were the subway series, one cover that they shared, the world cup and the tour de france.

So for one month is was equal cover sharing. I will do the same research at the end of August and see how it compares.

Just thought I'd share my findings since I know that was a topic posted about a couple of weeks ago.

i will point out that newsday is a regional LI Met paper and is the only paper where the Mets receive an equal share of voice. They are Met sponsors.

Interested to see what the mainstream NY papers, such as the Daily News and The Post show.

Newsday isn't considered a top-tier NY paper for sports.
