Anyone have any experience with Doxie-Pins?
It's a cross between a Dachsund and a miniature Pinscher...
A friend of mine found a little guy last month and has been unable to locate his home. We are considering adopting him - he is little, so he is perfect for our home, and very sweet. We are going to visit him a few times this week. I am very excited about this - with my work schedule, and summer off, I finally have time to truly care for a dog.
We are pretty sure he is a Doxie Pin based on the pics I found online. My parents have 3 Dachsunds so I am familiar with their temperament. But the mix with the Pin is new to me, so would love any input from BTDT...
Thanks!

my uncle had a mini pin and it was very nippy... but that could have just been that particular dog.

This one definitely isn't.... But dachshunds and mini pins both can be nippy... Some can see that. I am still not sure if that is what he is....

Re: Anyone have any experience with Doxie-Pins?
I have a min pin and my SIL has a doxie. From my experience, my min pin isn't nippy at all. YAPPY? Yes. Nippy no. The doxie nips other dogs. Not people.
Min Pin owners will always defend them to the death because they are loyal loving little creatures. But they are big barkers.
BUT with that... every dog is different and it has a lot to do with how you raise them.

The more I google pics, the more I am thinking he may be just mini pin, as there are some larger ones....
He is a love!

Aww Enjoy Him. I can't get enough of my Min Pin. He's my lil man.
They have such personality. I swear he's human sometimes!
He loves me up all the time. Kisses and literal hugs (his arms around my neck, legs around my waist)
Min pins are big burrowers so blankets are their best friends. You will find him rolled up into a blanket almost all the time. And they really get in there! LoL
