What is on your grocery list
I have to go food shopping and am dreading it! I feel so queasy and nothing is appealing. I still have to cook for my family and need some suggestions. Also need some snack suggestions. Apples and ice pops are the only thing that are really doing for me this week. I also crave protein for dinner (have had a burger, chicken wings, steak ect) but Once I eat it one time the thought of it again makes me nauseous! Not complaining bc I'm grateful to be pregnant just need ideas!

Re: What is on your grocery list
I stopped cooking for DH. I can't even stomach it! Everything makes me naueaous.
I've pretty much been eating: cereal (dry and with milk), eggos, bagels, bananas, cereal bars, protein bars.
I'm pretty much on an all carb diet because that's all I can handle! Anything else either makes me nauseaus or gives me heartburn.

Re: What is on your grocery list
I was really sick for about a month and tried to eat as healthy as I could but its so hard when you feel like sh!t!
Here are my staples:
Kashi cereal Kashi granola bars bananas strawberries and blueberries (I cut these up and put them in my oatmeal in the morning) Cheese for omelettes or scrambeled eggs whole wheat toast red/green peppers (also for my omelet) Ground turkey (I make a lot of chilli I also started making lasagna so I have food for the week since I get home late) Frozen spinach-also for the lasagna Whole wheat pasta chicken breast Almond butter Trail mix (I buy it in a big tub and make little baggies) Fage yogurt
I have to be honest, Ive gone on quite a few frozen yogurt/ice cream runs at night.. and I've been known to sneak a few twizzlers ; )
The nasuea gets better, I promise!! Just try to eat every 3 hours to minimize it.

RICE KRISPIES!!!
It's by biggest craving right now. And not just one bowl. Each baby requests it's own.
Other than that I eat: whole wheat toaster bagels with low fat cream cheese lean pockets whole wheat crackers with low fat cheese eggs (whole b/c cholesterol is good for the placenta per the Dr) Lean Cuisine meals for lunch and I love pizza and pasta right now.
So pretty much all carbs
I'm not nauseas but I just don't care for meat. I will want a burger but once I get it I'm so "eh" about it that it's not even good enough to eat.

Haha if one of my BFF's wasn't a nutritionist. it would be a CARB FEST for me! Even though I know the right thing to eat...
My ass needs to be in a maid of honor gown next June so I just can't gain that much. Plus twins? I am gonna need lipo!
Oh I forgot oatmeal.
NO PROCESSED CRAP (although I would love some Wendy's right now )

Re: What is on your grocery list
I find myself going food shopping and then all the food goes to waste. I dont know what I want until the second Im about to eat and I never want anything that I cook. We've either been eating out 3 meals a day (no fast food, all healthy stuff for the most part) or eating at our parents houses.. I feel bad because I know we are spending a lot of money but I just cant seem to want anything I have in the house. I havent really had any nausea yet, but I guess the food aversions are in full swing! MY biggest problem is lunch at work... What are you girls bringing for lunch?

I hear ya! I have been buying food that goes to waste too bc I can't bare the thought of cooking and eating it. I also have been eating out (something I never do) but I just can't help it. All pretty healthy off course. Right now one of my staples out are Cali pizza kitchen barbecue chicken chop salad with added avocado, had 1/2'panini with French onion soup from Panera Bread that was really good too. Not sure if you can order out at work. Today I'm going to have a frozen kashi chicken tomato and basil pasta for lunch. Hopefully it's good. So hard to actually prepare meals when you have food aversions! If I had to prepare lunch for work I'd probably pack pbj, yogurt, cheese wedges, cereal bars, and apple slices. Maybe egg salad sandwich?

Re: What is on your grocery list
Honestly the only thing i have been wanting for lunch is salad with lots of vinegary things... I can't even look at chicken during the day.... bleh. Salad with hot marinated peppers, greek salad with spicy peppers and I even like a salad with chopped pineapples and raspberry vinegar dressing. I often eat a sour green apple or pineapple after lunch. What's with the sour stuff? And i can't stop drinking lemonade.
I can't believe the food aversions already. I could eat boxes of cheez-its before. Now, I don't even want to look at them.

Re: What is on your grocery list
For lunch this week I've been having cereal. I also have a bagel later on. I get hungry like every hour or two so I have to have 2 lunches. I'm gonna be of those people that gain like 50lbs. Oh well.

Just an FYI: Lean Cuisine's are high in sodium and later in the pregnancy you may have to eliminate them. Also, dieting while you are pregnant is not recommended. I wish I could because outside of being pregnant I did need to lose some. I can't wait to eat these though after the baby is born. Enjoy being pregnant and eat what you want but in moderation is my motto (don't chow down on whole pizza pie though)!
