Therapist Gifts - repost from Parenting
DS will be 3 next month so his OT and Speech therapy will end. Need nice gift ideas to give them. It's really hard to tell what they're into.
Speech is in her 40's with kids. She dresses nice and stylish and always seems organized. OT is younger. I'm guessing mid 20's. She's a bit more disorganized (not with him, but folders falling apart and stuff all over the place when she comes in with her bags). She's dressed usually comfortable and hair tied back.
For Xmas I got the OT a bunch of matching folders, pens and a binder along with a DD GC. For his Speech I gave her a nice scarf and gloves and a DD GC.
Need some cute ideas for them. DS really loves them both and looks forward to seeing them for his therapy.

For OT how about one of those "thirty one" personalized bags, you can write" insert her name toys" My speech therapist got one for xmas and it is soooo cute! It said "Maggie's toys" I didn't give it to her but I thought it ws adorable. DS's speech therapist is a HUGE coffee drinker and she has akeurig machine so I gave her K cups! lol

I always do gift cards, sometimes with a small seasonal item, or token they can keep.
I always write a nice note, about how much they have helped him (and us!) and how much they have meant to all of us. I think they appreciate this more than the gift.

For Christmas we did gift cards- Barnes and Noble, Kohl's and Target.
We just switched one of our therapists because of a scheduling issue that we really liked and I got her a vera bradley bag to put some of her stuff into. It was on sale so it cost me about $35 but was a $50 bag so it looked like a nice gift. Willy Nilly in Bay Shore has a huge selection.
