Ideas for Bright students
I teach first grade and I have one girl who is on a 4th grade reading level! Her comprehension is astonishing. As you can imagine all other subject areas are ridiculously easy for her.
She told her mom that first grade is boring. I need ideas to challenge her! I am clueless. What can I do ?

I give challenge packets for fast finishers. There are weird searches, math puzzles, analogies, things like that. I also give differentiation packets. For a unitlike poetry, I have poetry tic tax toe. I have a learning menu with all sorts of activities related to that unit. Can she do research reports related to a unit and present to the class? Also could she go up to another grade once a week?

i used to be like that, and i had teachers handle it in different ways
my first grade teacher used to give me math packets b/c i loved math..she started with 2nd grade, and by the end of the year i was doing 6th grade math packets..
for reading she would suggest books to me and just let me spend time reading after i finished my work..but that always made me the happiest anyways-i would rush through to finish my work so i could read after

I give challenge packets I've made from various Evan-Moore & other type books. For higher readers,the packets focus on critical thinking skills - "detective-like"/mystery problems...
How does your student do with explaining problem solving strategies in math? I find my higher readers often have a tougher time with this, making it a good area of focus to help them extend...

Yes. I use activities from various puzzle books that i've collected. I love the everything kids books. I've taught my class sudoku and kakuro so the packets might have those in them too.

I love the suggestions the others gave. I wanted to add that I try to follow their lead. I had a girl in my pre-school class reading at a 1st grade level (she was at least an I in Fountas and Pinnel). She was 4, so she was still into princesses, so I hit dollar tree and got her Disney Princess workbooks. She loved them and they challenged her.
I'm a first grade leave now. My top reading group was so into a book about a child that was blind, we got into a discussion about Helen Keller, and they were curious about her. So I'm trying to see what I can find about her for them.
I would see what she likes or what she is interested in learning more about, and modify it from there.
