Double registry items

I'm not registering any time soon but a post on pregnancy got me thinking what registry items you need 2 of. Swings, bouncers? I know obviously cribs, carseats and high chairs. And we are most likely getting 2 pack n plays since our house has so many levels. Can they sleep in a rock and play (separate ones) at night until they go in their cribs or do they need a bassinet(s)?

Re: Double registry items

I'm also curious about this, too. Can you also use the bouncy seat as a feeding chair for the first couple of months? I guess I mean when they begin to eat cereal and fruit, etc.

Re: Double registry items

2 fisher Price bouncy seats (someone told me this and I didn't listen, and ended up getting another FP seat) and yes I started out feeding in these, before using the high chairs. However, I'm glad I have 2 different ones. I think they would have been bored if the toy bars were the same.

2 boppies

swings- we got 2 of the big ones and one's and only put 1 together, we in addition to that have 2 graco snug ride swing frame (they are portable and the car seats snap into them It has saved on soooooo much space and it is their favorite!

before we were told that they could not use item that made them stand.. we had 1 exasaucer and 1 jumperoo, but returned them as per PT

I have also found it really helpful to have a single snap and go stroller for when I take 1 baby out (bought on craigs list) and a car seat base in "the other car" for 1 baby outings as well.

and then the obvious things. car seats, cribs, high chairs
mine still sleep in a pack and play in our bedroom, at the moment we are using 3 pack and plays (thank goodness so many people handed theirs down)

My girls slept in their rock n plays from about a month to 2 months. They slept in them at night and all naps. At two months I transitioned back into the crib (they started out in the crib but we switched due to reflux). They still sleep in them for their morning nap in our room so I can get a little more sleep in and my girls are almost 6 months. Def need two rock n plays I think...

Re: Double registry items

Here is an FM I just sent someone recently:
Here are the things we have two of and use a lot:
Bouncy Seat
Bumbo
Crib
Boppy
Swings (one is the travel swing though)
High Chair
Booster seat (pretty much a travel high chair, but we are at my moms a lot)

Here are the things we have one of and it is fine:
Pack N Play
Jumperoo
Playmat
Changing Table and Pad

Thanks so much ladies! I was getting overwhelmed with how much stuff I would need but it's not too bad.

About the rock n plays: you can hook the one leg over the leg of the other and rock them together. It works better when they are a little heavier. This is one thing i missed when we transitioned back into the crib...

If you are going to travel at all I would get 2 pack n plays. We use both all of the time!

I was thinking one of each. Maybe the twin sleeper one for my room which is off the den so I can move it. And one for the lower level that we can bring for travel?

There is SO much to think of with twins!
