In search of a new school. Anyone know anything about Building Blocks?

I'm looking at programs for DS. Right now he is in a typical school with a SEIT, and he does great. He has PDD-NOS. My CPSE meeting is coming up next month and I know they are going to push to send him to a special ed program. I am not opposed to an integrated classroom, but I honestly don't think it is right for my DS. I am a teacher and have taught inclusion before. I have also taught honors classes as well. The level of expectation is different for each level. Academically, DS is very advanced( he reads, does, addition, sub, mult, and lots of other things for his age). Socially, he does not interact with his peers. He does well with adults though. I'm not sure how being in a special program will help him with those behaviors.
His SEIT does have to prompt him during the day depending on the day to do certain things. However, his issue a lot of times is waiting his turn, or wanting to play with all the red dinosaurs. He is an only child in the sense that I have a 16 yo DD, so in essence he does not have a playmate. Most of his outbursts or prompting happens during "academic" portions of the day, ie circle time. My personal opinion is that he is bored to tears with what they are learning. He knows the shapes, colors, numbers, already. I need advice on what to look for in a school, and any tips to help DS while at school would be helpful.

My son started out there. I was very happy. He learned a lot. I felt he needed more so we switched him to DDI.

Never been personally but I know other families who have raved about it.

We are in the integrated class this year.

Not overly impressed, but nothing bad to say either.

What would you have done differently if you could do it over again?

This school has a great reputation but this is a school better matched for a child who is high functioning.

My DD will be going to Leeway; her therapist highly recommended it
