Meringue Powder
Any one ever use it? How is it? Does it have a taste?
A lot of recipes for frosting seem to use it Just wondering if it's good.

Re: Meringue Powder
Honestly, it's not much of a taste to it. It's more for the consistency of the icing than anything. I use meringue powder all the time in certain whipped frostings and in royal icing. It's fine, you've definitely eaten it before without knowing it was in there.

I hear ya! Sometimes the ingredients throw me a little. The first time I used cream of tartar, all I could think of was tartar sauce.
