Job Coach?

I feel like my DH is never going to get a job. He is so friggin' talented but his interview skills are horrible. He also tends to be too "quirky" for most people. I have tried to role play it with him, but I dont think I am the best person for this task. I also dont think it is healthy for our marriage

Any suggestions? DH is in the graphic arts field if it makes a difference.

you just described my unemployed DH...he has killer experience but he has a BIG personality (on top of physically being a big guy) and sometimes people just don't "get" him in a first impression. Sorry I am no help but I feel your pain!

I am also a Graphic Artist (semi-retired...in a new career now). Usually a killer portfolio is key...creative types are supposed to be quirky . Maybe have him focus on his skill set, accomplishments and reliability and professionalism..that can be an issue in that field....so stress all the positives he has and what he can offer the company. My DH is the same way. Weve tried doing the practice interview, but it just doesnt work. Either we both start laughing, or he gets frustrated with me and says im too critical.
