This walk is honor of my late mother in law who lost her battle with lung cancer last year. She was very involved with the Patchogue Lioness club. They are naming their latest guide dog after her.

The 9th annual Walk for a Guide Dog is a benefit for the Long Island-based Guide Dog Foundation for the Blind. Proceeds will help the Guide Dog Foundation continue to provide services for the disabled, free of charge. The Walk is on May 20, 2012, stepping off from the Patchogue Firehouse on Jennings Avenue, sponsored by the Patchogue Lioness-Lions Club in memory of Lion, Toni Romeo. 8 am continental breakfast will be followed by a 2-mile walk at 9 AM. Register as a walker with a $10.00 donation and receive a T shirt. Pick up sponsor forms at The Colony Shop in Patchogue, the Greater Patchogue Chamber of Commerce, and the Patchogue-Medford Library.
