Chocolate
Linus got into a pile of mini snickers bars last night. Ate at least 5 of them! He seems fine, except for needing a ton of water to wash down the caramel! Should I be worried?

Re: Chocolate
How much does your dog weigh?
My dog recently ate chocolate by accident and I was worried. I read online (many different sources) that typically it's a concern when they consume about 1 oz of chocolate per pound of dog.
Plenty of water is a good idea. And of course take him to the vet if notice anything unusual. Hope he's okay!

Re: Chocolate
He's 50lbs of solid mass! haha! He only had like 5 or 6 of the bite size snickers so I'm sure he's okay, I just figured I would ask!

Re: Chocolate
i had a german shorthaired pointer devour an entire bag of oreos... he was fine..
but yes.. general rule of thumb... 1 oz per pound is quite a bit..

Re: Chocolate
I have a 71 lbs solid muscle male Golden Retriever. Once he ate a plate of fudge out of my garbage and another time he ate a whole bag of semi-sweet chocolate chips. Other than being thirsty and running around like a lunatic for a few hours he was fine.
