Big Al's in Amityville

Does anyone go here?

I haven't been a member of a gym in awhile but have been throwing around the idea again.

Give me a rundown of the place, pros/cons, etc.

Pros: EVERYTHING

Cons: none

It's a great family owned/operated gym. If I lived closer it wouldn't be a question for me. It's clean, big, always adding new things and growing. Very friendly staff and great things for kids too.

Re: Big Al's in Amityville

i do not go to this gym but i help someone who works there (im a job coach for adults with developmental disabilities) it seems like a good gym.. def seems crowded a lot tho even at random times during the day. it is very clean though and the people who work there seem very nice. i looked at the class schedule and it seems really good and there nursury seems very good too. its def a big gym, i would say there is more guys then girls that go there. there smoothies are also very good. anyway just figd i would let you know the info that i know. good luck.. i go to la fitness in lindenhurst. i like it there but the tvs on the treadmills suck they only get like 4 channels
take care

The gym is good but they are known for ripping people off. Charging you twice a month for membership, charging you after your contract expires, etc. It's the reason I left and went to LA Fitness.

Really? I have never heard this befoe. Be careful for the same at LA Fitness. I love that gym, but I do not like corporate gyms because they always present problems with contracts, etc.
