Work pet peeves

When someone, who is never ever ever on time comes in on time for once and starts askin "where is so and so, why aren't they here yet?". Really?!?!?

oh I know exactly what you mean.... I work on a team with this LAZY woman who always walks in half hour after everyone else then spends half hour eating her breakfast, while everyone else has started doing our work, yet she's sitting there on her phone eating, not helping out at all while the rest of us are running around trying to make a dent in the day's work......... and then she loves to point out other people's shortcomings, mistakes, and actually referred to another woman who works with us as "lazy" because she "disappears to the bathroom too much"..... REALLY!?!?!? What a hypocrite. Ugh.


Other pet peeves:

--People in other job titles who try to tell you how to do your job... MYOB!! I don't tell YOU how to do YOUR job!

--I work with this one guy who tries to act like he has some authority, like he's a supervisor over the rest of us & had some decision-making power-- meanwhile we are all on the same level-- I have told him on more than one occasion that he's delusional & to stop thinking he's more important than he is.

--When supervisors pull people from our group to work somewhere else in the building where somebody else is out, which only makes our group short-staffed & then we are stuck rushing to get everything done.

--Coworkers who take things personally that are NOT personal all. If I bring you an extra case, it's not because I'm trying to give you more work so don't glare at me, it's just my job to distribute cases! I'm just doing my job! Don't shoot the messenger.

--People who make comments because I like to leave work ON TIME (NOT early, on time!).... because I work hard & get all my stuff done & don't dawdle around all day like they do & leave their work to the last minute so they HAVE TO stay late. I get everything done early, so why do THEY think they're better because they stay later BSing???

--Dealing with the public. Enough said.

--Being expected to get all the printing done, with a broken printer, no ink, no supplies because the supervisors didn't bother to order them--- yet somehow we're supposed to get it all done!

--Coworkers who don't do their end of the job & it then affects the rest of us-- why should I have to go running around the building to find a file that I need when the person who was supposed to leave it on the shelf where it belongs forgets or doesn't bother??

WHEW!!!!!!!!! LOL by reading this you'd think I hate my job but I actually really enjoy it most of the time!!!!

Very similar vents.

I also hate when people tell me how to do my job, as well.

When I'm not in the office, but in the field, and a certain co-worker has the balls to ask me how vacay was.

I also work with someone who (well she does this to everyone) who takes it out on me when I give her a case as well. (Same person who got pi$$ed last week because I wouldn't change a meeting cuz rain was in the forecast).

All of us are really stressed at work and have a ton on our plates, but there are always one or two people who think they are the only ones in this position, and everyone else has it "so easy" and they will voice this over and over.

People who don't set boundaries, and then b!tch and complain when peope walk all over them, yet, they continue to not set boundaries.

Lastly, people who spend the whole day b!tching about the job, and bringing the whole staff down. They also will go on interviews but find a ton of reasons to not accept the job when it's offered to them.

P.S. I like my job too. I think that a lot of what I mentioned is pretty common, no matter where you go ;).

The one who walks in at 10:15 when work begins at 9:00, complains about how much work she has to do, yet at 10:35 still hasn't logged into her work computer yet.

Here's a different pet peeve.

Officer-VP level gets underlings to do her administrative work while she is trying to get promoted. Throwing words like client-facing around (when she has nothing to do with clients). She went from asking me to do her ppt slides to another admin and so on..claiming she created these decks. She presents these documents as her own work.

I did a project with her under a very tight timeline. I was on equal footing with her on this event. My boss gave her all the credit at this event in front of 800 people.

My own boss was snowed. She is good at snowing.

She is also the same one to ask "why isn't anybody on the phone?!". Because god for I'd she answers a call or two. She's too busy with her baby daddy drama.
