SPINOFF: Tell me about a book you LOVED that I may not have heard of before

I'd like to suggest Graceling by Kristen Cashore and Fire by Kristen Cashore especially for those reading YA Fantasy.

Ooooh, I love this!!

Well, everyone knows I always suggest Outlander by Diana Gabaldon, but it's not a super well-known book.

The Bronze Horseman by Paullina Simons. Amazing historical love story.

The Merrily Watkins series by Phil Rickman (the first one is The Wine of Angels). NO ONE has ever heard of this outside the UK. I've been reading them all on interlibrary loan and I'm an addict!!!

LOVE both of these books.

The third book Bitterblue came out last month if you haven't read it yet.

Re: SPINOFF: Tell me about a book you LOVED that I may not have heard of before

I tend to read mostly fantasy/paranormal type books, so I'm going to throw this out there: The Black Dagger Brotherhood, first book: Dark Lover. I had never read a paranormal romance before this (or a romance period), but I love this series, especially the first five books. I would love to read about those guys even if she took out all the Chat Icon stuff. And I never would have read it if I didn't see recommendations on here.

ETA: If you liked Hunger Games, try Divergent. I didn't LOVE it, but it was still good.

The Blessing Stone by Barbara Wood. One of my favorite all-time books.

The Shadow of the Wind by Carlos Ruiz Zafon.

Spandau Phoenix by Greg Iles

That was going to be my suggestion! i liked it better than Hunger Games. The next book - Insurgent - is now out. It starts off slow but gets really good!!!

I liked Divergent, I loved Insurgent, and I can't wait for the third book. I am liking this series more than the Hunger Games.

I heard somewhere they're making it into a movie too.
Insurgent got slow for me in the middle, but the end made up for it. Great ending. Can't wait for the next one.
