Maple Bacon Donuts
I saw a similiar recipe to this on Diners, Drive-ins and Dives over the weekend.
I was thinking of making them with DS this weekend except - I DON'T LIKE BAKING! Do you think if I got a plain donut and made the glaze and bacon it would work?

I love the idea of these. I had them a few months ago at Audrey's and it seemed like they kind of just topped a plain donut with maple glaze and some crushed bacon. I didn't love it.. but maybe because it was chilled and bacon should be warm rather than the fact that the donut was plain. I think if you do it and serve it with fresh, crisp bacon right from the oven set in gooey maple glaze it would be delicious!
