Staub vs. Le Creuset?

A few years ago I bought a 4 quart Staub pot, but it was from the discount line. I've been really happy with it, but I need a bigger one, 6 quart to be exact.

These are the two I'm deciding between:


Staub

or


Le Creuset

The price is the same, so that doesn't matter. The Staub is from their regular line, not discount.

Differences for me- the handle and the interior. The Staub has a matte black interior and the Le Creuset has a white smooth interior.

The cover is also different. Le Creuset has a smooth interior, while the Staub has self basting bumps throughout.

If anyone has both please let me know which you like better.

I have wanted a Staub forever (it's out of my budget). It appeals to me because the interior will not discolor. I like the LOOK of the Le Crueset better - but only because the recessed lid on the Staub makes it feel more industrial to me.

I don't think you could go wrong with either.. but if you are used to the Staub and enjoy it, I think maybe you should stick with what you know/love.

I am used to the Staub, but the Staub I have is the smooth white inside like the Le Creuset. The one in the pic above has the black enamel, but it isn't smooth, if that makes any sense.

I ordered the Staub one. It actually worked out to be cheaper than the Le Creuset. I'm making a Rabbit Moutarde next week in it for company. Can't wait.
