What's going on?
So I've been on phase 1 of south beach for 2 weeks (I've done south beach in the past) . First week and a couple days I lost 7lbs. I'm a teacher so I ended work on Wednesday and starting exercising thurs I've been at the gym (cardio) and have a trainer (went 2 times so far). The number on the scale is going up (just 2-3 lbs) but its irking me. DH says its water retention, please give me some words of wisdom. I know I'm being an @ss by obsessing over the scale and I do feel like my body has already changed and improved, but why is the number not going down more?

are you going over on the limited foods? like dairy, nuts, etc?

When you start exercising your muscles retain water.
Totally normal.
