Please help me!

I was offered a teaching job last week from NYC. I went yesterday to transfer my finger prints. Today the online system says I'm on hold and need to contact OPI. What does this mean? I'm panicking.

First, congrats.

Second, don't panic. The DOE takes forever to do everything but it will come together.

My advice is to keep your principal in the loop of everything you're doing to get things done and he/she can apply pressure to certain people to get things moving if necessary. I have been through that myself.

Sometimes if you keep calling, different people will give you different (and better) answers.
