I'm back....

Hi everyone, I took a break from working out due to life it self, and it took me a good 2 months to get back into routine.

Now that I feel like I am back, I need some serious advice.

A while back I posted I wanted to start running, well, I have. I have been running 11-12 min miles. Granted the time is slow, but I just started last week, and I started going back to the gym last month.

Ive been doing treadmill runs and outside and track runs. Should I limit myself to one type until I get to my 7-8 min mile?

I know it may sound like a dumb question.

Thanks, and I feel great about getting back in shape from a 5 month hiatus!

Absolutelly not! You should definitely switch out your runs. Is speed more important or distance?

Distance right now... Maybe speed if I want to do a "fun" run.

i find running is better with a buddy. i'm a newbie runner myself (never thought i'd say i run for fun!) and like it so much more when i'm with other people.

just have patience with yourself. 11-12 min to 7-8 is a big jump but i know you'll get there!!
