Fairway's website says it's opening in August & Trader Joe's website says it's opening August 17th!

there's going to be a bj's and a costco?
they also are opening up a container store, and they recently opened up a penzy's spices in the area
i have 4 hour breaks at work next year, and envision myself grocery shopping the whole time

Fairway is awesome! A lot of organic produce, a big cheese selection, a giant meat selection, a bakery, coffee bean selection, prepared foods and general supermarket. We used to go a lot when we lived in BK.

Sounds like Whole Foods!
I think it's a combination of Whole Foods, TJ's and a regular supermarket. I could walk through there for hours. I love the samples too! They have samples of cheese, EVOO, and Balsamic. So yummy!

Fairways is amazing. It has all the same general grocery things as waldbaums or stop and shop, but then they also have more specialty items. And items you may not find at a regualr grocery. And they have real butchers, a seafood section, tons of cheese, fresh roasted coffee beans, great produce. And their prices are reasonable. Trader Joes is a smaller store with their own brand of items. lots of organizc and vegetarian options, but not limited to that. And they have great prices!! These are two of my favorite stores.
i can't wait for them to open. We go to TJ's in Merrick now, and it is fine, but parking is a nightmare. And the store is small. And we drive to plainview to go to fairway. We are in the westbury area often, so having them both right near eachother will be great for us.
Now I just wish an Aldis would open in westbury too! I went to one in Ohio with my grandma and the prices were amazing!

They have a sign up? I haven't noticed? The BJs was in our local paper a year ago that it would be coming this fall to that location - which is the only reason I know about it.

fairway has their sign up, or i wouldn't know where it was going
i'm excited about the bjs though
and obviously i should read what people write more carefully lol
